Choose to be kind

Hello Friend,

We are nearing crunch time with the election and there are so many important topics at stake. Topics that affect peoples core values and can easily create heated conversations between loved ones, friends, and neighbors.

This is a reminder about kindness.

Even if you do not agree with someone, you still have the power to be kind. Remember, a thought is not real until you act on it. Before you enter into a political conversation put your ego aside.

Here's how:

When you hear words that start to activate you... when you are upset with someone and feel your adrenaline start to rise... or when something happens that just sets you off...

Stop.

Breathe deep.

Ask yourself: Is what I am about to say kind and constructive? Or could it be hurtful?

At the root of it all, everyone is striving for a better country we just have different ideas of how to get there.

When people feel very strongly about something, no amount of persuasion is going to change their mind. They need to have their own deep insight to do that.

Think about how you can find a more helpful and positive solution. Maybe that solution is changing the topic. Get the frustration out later if you need to. I always find that writing in my journal helps me to free emotions. How do you release your emotions?

Shop our journals to find one that fits you!

We also have a new line of inspirational prints that are helpful reminders
to prioritize your mental wellbeing.

Help yourself and help others. You never know what they are going through.

Always choose to be kind. It will make a world of a difference!

Xoxo,

Jen
