Staying on top of your wedding timeline

We are excited to share some key timeline information with you.
You wouldn’t think timeline is so important when it comes to your wedding stationery but we think it is a big key element to making sure your ordering process goes smoothly. We don’t want you to have the added stress of being pressed for time while ordering your invitations and juggling all of the other important things going on in your life.
So, here it is, your ideal timeline for wedding stationery:
SAVE THE DATES
Plan to send them out 6-8 months before your event.
Get started on the order process about 2 months before you would like them in the mail. Include at least a month for the order and proof process, 3 weeks for production once that proof is approved and give yourself 1 week after you receive your save the dates to assemble and send out.
INVITATIONS
Plan to send them out 2-3 months before your event.
If you plan to go the more custom route with your invitations; which most of our clients do, please allow closer to 3 or better yet, 4 months for your invitation ordering process. This will give us more time during the proof segment to customize and spend time creating your perfect suite. You will also have the option of seeing a physical approval sample before we start production on your invitations. This is complimentary and we encourage our clients to take advantage of it, that way you can be sure your invitations are perfect before we move into production. This generally adds 7-10 business days to your timeline. Production time once the final proof is approved is 3 weeks then allow yourself a week to assemble and get your beauties in the mail!
*We do have a 1 and 2 week rush production option to shorten that timeline a bit if you are in a pinch. Let us know if you think you may need to do a rush order and we can help you decide the best option.
"DAY OF" STATIONERY
I like to jump right into these as soon as you send your invitations out, so 2-3 months before your event.
These are all of the details you would like to have at your ceremony and reception. These items include but are not limited to: programs, menus, place and escort cards or seating chart, signage, tags and thank you cards.
The same process will apply to these items: Order and proof process and then production. Production timeline on these pieces is much quicker as we wait to print until you have sent over all of your guest information for the place cards, escort cards or seating chart. This usually ends up being 2-3 weeks before your event. 3 weeks is ideal but we understand if you need a little  more time to perfect your table arrangements. Don’t be worried about receiving these items the week of your wedding; that is totally normal and is when most of our clients get these pieces in hand.
*If we are shipping, please include an additional 4 days in your timeline to accommodate.
There it is! Your full wedding stationery timeline.
Please reach out to us if you would like us to lay it out with your specific dates or if you have any questions, we are always excited to hear from you!
